Kural 749: The Fortification
முனைமுகத்து மாற்றலர் சாய வினைமுகத்து வீறெய்தி மாண்ட தரண்

Veereydhi Maanta Tharan
A fort is that which derives excellence from the stratagems made (by its inmates) to defeat their enemies in the battlefield
போர் முனையில் பகைவரை வீழ்த்துமளவுக்கு உள்nயிருந்து கொண்டே தாக்குதல் நடத்தும் வண்ணம் தனிச்சிறப்புப் பெற்றுத் திகழ்வதே அரண் ஆகும்
