Kural 374: Fate
இருவே றுலகத் தியற்கை திருவேறு தெள்ளிய ராதலும் வேறு

Thelliya Raadhalum Veru
There are (through fate) two different natures in the world, hence the difference (observable in men) in (their acquisition of) wealth, and in their attainment of knowledge
உலகின் இயற்கை நிலை இரு வேறுபட்டதாகும் ஒருவர் செல்வமுடையவராகவும், ஒருவர் அறிவுடையவராகவும் இருப்பதே அந்த வேறுபாடாகும்
