Kural 368: Curbing of Desire
அவாவில்லார்க் கில்லாகுந் துன்பமஃ துண்டேல் தவாஅது மேன்மேல் வரும்

Thavaaadhu Menmel Varum
There is no sorrow to those who are without desire; but where that is, (sorrow) will incessantly come, more and more
ஆசை இல்லாதவர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் இல்லை ஆசை உண்டானால், அதைத் தொடர்ந்து துன்பமும் மேலும் மேலும் வந்து கொண்டிருக்கும்
