Kural 330: Not killing
உயிருடம்பின் நீக்கியா ரென்ப செயிருடம்பின் செல்லாத்தீ வாழ்க்கை யவர்

Sellaaththee Vaazhkkai Yavar
(The wise) will say that men of diseased bodies, who live in degradation and in poverty, are those who separated the life from the body of animals (in a former birth)
வறுமையும் நோயும் மிகுந்த தீய வாழ்க்கையில் உழல்வோர், ஏற்கனவே கொலைகள் பல செய்தவராக இருப்பர் என்று முன்னோர் கூறுவர்
