Kural 1173: Eyes consumed with Grief
கதுமெனத் தாநோக்கித் தாமே கலுழும் இதுநகத் தக்க துடைத்து
Kadhumenath Thaanokkith Thaame Kaluzhum
Ithunakath Thakka Thutaiththu
They themselves looked eagerly (on him) and now they weep. Is not this to be laughed at ?
தாமாகவே பாய்ந்து சென்று அவரைப் பார்த்து மகிழ்ந்த கண்கள், இன்று தாமாகவே அழுகின்றன இது நகைக்கத்தக்க ஒன்றாகும்
