Kural 1171: Eyes consumed with Grief
கண்டாம் கலுழ்வ தெவன்கொலோ தண்டாநோய் தாங்காட்ட யாங்கண் டது

As this incurable malady has been caused by my eyes which showed (him) to me, why should they now weep for (him)
கண்கள் செய்த குற்றத்தால்தானே காதல் நோய் ஏற்பட்டது? அதே கண்கள் அந்தக் காதலரைக் காட்டுமாறு கேட்டு அழுவது ஏன்?
